SHERIDAN INDUSTRIAL PARK STUDY
Challenge: Develop a series of sketches to communicate how infrastructure improvements to an existing industrial park, auto junkyard and large metal recycling operation will stimulate redevelopment of many unimproved properties along a river corridor and expansion of existing commercial businesses.
Solution: Jim Leggitt photographed existing conditions throughout the study area and created a series of “before and after” hand drawn sketches showing architectural facade improvements, new roadway connections, an expanded riverside park, repurposed buildings and stormwater mitigation concepts. The sketches were valuable in communicating to property owners about the positive impact on their businesses from new water and sewer services to the entire site.
