FAIRPLAY DOWNTOWN
Challenge: Leggitt Studio participated in a two-day community planning workshop in Fairplay, Colorado to develop creative solutions for improving downtown connectivity, strengthen commercial properties and establish an overall direction for making the commercial downtown more inviting for residents and visitors. Work was generated during the day and presented each evening at community open houses.
Solution: Jim Leggitt toured the downtown district with the design team and took reference photographs that were then used to generate sketches. Each drawing was traced from a photograph with a felt tip pen on tracing paper and then colored with markers. Jim mounted more than 12 sketches side-by-side with photos to present a clear “before and after” visual story. An additional hybrid drawing was created from a SketchUp model.
