COVID STORIES

Sixty heartwarming, humorous, and sometimes heartbreaking fictional stories about how America responded to the events of 1918, written and illustrated by Jim Leggitt between March 18, 2020 and May 17, 2020 during his 60 day stay-at-home restrictions from the Covid-19 Pandemic. While in quarantine, Leggitt created new stories every day and posted them on social media covering topics such as the deadly Spanish Influenza, World War One, Women's Suffrage, heroism, volunteerism, women in the workforce, politics, prohibition, sports, food shortages, love, and sorrow. His remarkable drawings and short stories about that harrowing year capture the spirit of American patriotism and how people 100 years ago worked together to build a stronger, smarter and more secure nation.
