GLENWOOD LANDING
Challenge: Leggitt Studio was commissioned by a local landscape architect to visualize four park design options in Glenwood Springs at the north terminus of a new pedestrian bridge. After receiving the park design plans from a local landscape architect, Jim Leggitt was tasked to construct an accurate 3D SketchUp model of the site options and generated renderings that represented the different designs.
Solution: Building onto an existing 3D SketchUp model Jim Leggitt had created for a previous project, he constructed the four design options in model form, then established an ideal aerial perspective view of the park that captured the entire context of the Glenwood Springs neighborhood. He then exported views of the model options, printed them on 11”x17” bond paper and drew directly onto each print with pen and ink, colored markers and color pencils. Scanned jpegs of the illustrations were delivered to the client for presentation to the Glenwood Springs City Council.
