COEUR D’ALENE CORRIDOR

Challenge: Participate in a multi-day community planning workshop and generate quick hand drawn sketches that illustrate revitalized public spaces, existing street improvements and repurposed historic buildings along a fifteen block section of East Sherman Street corridor adjacent to the downtown business district.

Solution: Jim Leggitt photographed existing conditions throughout the East Sherman Street corridor and developed a series of “before and after” hand drawn sketches showing new gateways, street improvements, storefront enhancements and new architectural modifications for existing buildings. Each drawing was traced directly over a 8 1/2”x11” photographic print, drawn with an ink pen and colored with markers. Jim’s sketches and photographs were mounted on graphic boards and successfully used in evening public presentations.
