GRAND JUNCTION SAW MILL MIXED-USE REDEVELOPMENT

Challenge: The City of Grand Junction, Colorado owns a large undeveloped parcel near the Colorado River and wanted to create a high level vision of the property in order to generate interest from businesses and real estate developers. Jim Leggitt was asked to develop design concepts for a mixed-use development and illustrate the site development with an overall rendering and associated 3D model views.

Solution: Jim Leggitt worked with the client to develop various site plans and following a brief charrette process, constructed a 3D SketchUp model of the full buildout development. Leggitt’s aerial perspective was created from an exported view of the model and a digital illustration deliverable using an iPad and Procreate software. .
